Tasting Notes
So many leaves have fallen off the trees, the 2024 vintage is pretty much in barrel for everyone, and we are starting to see signs of end-of-year festivities. Life has no signs of slowing down, and I try my best to breathe in every special moment.
A couple of weeks back, one of those special moments was sitting down with Jim Bernau, founder of Willamette Valley Vineyards. It’s not very often I get the opportunity to sit with a person who has an immense number of stories. Trying to figure out which stories to dive into for this podcast episode was difficult!
One story I had to dive into included many backstories with the Elton Vineyard, a vineyard I immensely adore! Bringing in the 2014 Elton Vineyard Pinot Noir from Lavinea was the perfect choice! You have got to hear Jim’s connection to Betty and the Elton Vineyard. You also need to hear how bottles of Willamette Valley Vineyards’ (@willamettevalleyvineyards) wines got onto multiple episodes of Friends and which wine Courteney Cox liked most!
