Tasting Notes
The couple behind this wine is beyond belief! Jess and Paden West are making serious waves in the Oregon wine scene. I interviewed both of them for the podcast a few years ago. I was blown away then. The Chardonnay over the summer? Incredible. And tonight, their Pinot Noir has me saying DAMN all over again.
I wasn’t paying too much attention to Approachment’s 2024 Pinot Noir at first, but when I took a sip after closing the week down I noticed an audible DAMN escaped my mouth. I am talking about a dark fruited Pinot Noir with a luscious mid-palate you can’t help but notice. The finish on this wine lingers forever and is what caught my attention.
Tonight, I am having this wine with a roast on the Big Green Egg. I can’t wait to see how the pairing goes.
When looking at the price point on this wine, it is shockingly approachable, but the sad news is that it’s sold out. Join their newsletter ASAP to get your hands on their next release by visiting their website.
Next weekend, you need to meet Approachment at the Oregon Chardonnay Celebration. Once you taste their wine, come find me and tell me how blown away you were!
