It’s a little warm outside. I have no doubt you are staying cool with a great bottle of sparkling! As for me, I am putting the finishing touches on the podcast with Michael Lundeen, which will be released Thursday morning.
Let me guess—you’ve never heard of Michael Lundeen and Lundeen Wines (@lundeen_wines). Back in 2021, I was on an Oregon Sparkling Journey, and Michael’s name popped up several times. He made his first sparkling wine in 2011, which he shared with me on the podcast. How in the world has someone who started making sparkling wine in 2011 stayed under the radar for so long? Being humble beyond belief is a magic ingredient, but incredible wines don’t hurt one bit! His collection of still wines (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, sparkling, and others) are incredibly approachable and will make you a superstar at any gathering.
Michael worked at Illahe Vineyards (@illahevineyards) for a time, and is the blind wine I presented. Are you subscribed via Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube for Thursday morning’s episode? This is one heck of an interview, three years in the making!
