Tasting Notes

I am sure you have heard the term “Christmas in July.” Well, for iOS developers, it’s always “Christmas in June.” Today was the start of Apple’s week-long Developer Conference. I have been fortunate to attend in person three times, and it is always a week filled with excitement, overwhelm, and anxiety. I am still processing everything announced and will be processing for months to come. All I can say is when iOS 18 comes out in September, wow! It’s a podcast week, and on Thursday, my chat with Mark and Pattie Bjornson will be dropping on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and Spotify. Sitting across the table from these two was such an honor. They have done so much and helped in so many ways for the community. One of the many aspects I adore about this couple is their desire to get out on their bikes. On a trip many years ago, they did a tandem bike ride across Europe. This ride set the tone for many years to come. Be sure to subscribe and catch my conversation Thursday morning. On to the wine! Have you heard of Gouais Blanc? Neither had I until I sat down with Mark and Pattie. Have you heard of Graševina? Neither had I until I decided to bring something super unique for Mark and Pattie’s blind wine tasting. The DIKA 2019 Graševina from Croatia seemed appropriate. I also have to say, as I sipped this wine, I was super curious what Franc (@franckavedzija), the sommelier I met in Croatia, would have to say about this wine. 🍷
