Tasting Notes

How did we get to April 1st already? I don't know, but I gotta say this weather feels pretty darn fantastic! I am hearing that bud break is occurring for some people already. Let's cross our fingers for no frost events in April! A few years ago, I read Voodoo Vintners by Katherine Cole. One of the winemakers mentioned in the book was Paul deLancellotti, who talked about biodynamic farming. I briefly spoke with Paul in November of 2021 and had a fantastic experience. He invited me to come back and talk more about how BD has changed since Katherine's book. A few years later, I finally took him on the offer. Our chat drops on Thursday, and I couldn't be more pleased. If you are not already subscribed to Weinnotes on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts, subscribe today! The blind wine I decided to bring for Paul was a 2012 Rastaban Pinot Noir from Brooks. The connection is Jimi Brooks and BioDynamic farming. Paul was excited when I poured this wine. Right off the bat, he knew it had some age. You will have to watch or listen on Thursday to get all the details. 👇 👇 👇 👇 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 Would you like to get a Saturday morning email once a month to read with your coffee giving you insider tips on events, news, and an in-depth perspective on a winery?
