Earlier today, I had the pleasure of reading the most recent newsletter from Compris (@comprisvineyard). I was absolutely amazed to discover that they have already reached their third year of having a wine club. It's incredible how time flies by! Another thought that crossed my mind today is the abundance of hidden gem wines that can be found all over the World of Wine. As my birthday is approaching, I have been contemplating which wine(s) I should open to celebrate. Although I haven't made a decision yet, I can guarantee that whatever it choose will have a fascinating story behind it and will be a true hidden gem. Speaking of hidden gems with captivating stories, I first learned about this particular wine on March 13, 2020. There was a small mention of it on January 30, 2021, followed by a significant update on November 20, 2021. Finally, on June 6, 2023, I had the opportunity to take my first sip. Let me tell you, it was definitely worth the wait, and I can only imagine that future vintages will be even better. The 2019 Dick's Erath's Clone 95 is the last time it will be labeled under Vidon. Future vintages will be known as The Myth. If you have a Hidden Gems Wine List, I highly recommend adding this wine to it.
