Tasting Notes

This week's edition of the podcast is almost here! In this episode, we have the pleasure of featuring Tom Caruso, the talented winemaker behind Pray Tell Wines. I first discovered Tom's wines in 2021 and instantly became a fan. It's hard to believe, but our podcast interview was actually the first time we met in person. A trusted source recommended that I try Tom's wines, and I'm so glad I did. If you recall, earlier this year I challenged Andrew from Audeant by blind tasting one of Tom's Pinot Noir and Merlot blends. In return, I brought one of Andrew's wines for Tom to try blindly. It just felt like the right thing to do. I loved it when Tom said, "For blinds, you always focus on the person, not the wine." From the start, Tom knew exactly which wine it was and who made it, but he played along brilliantly. If you haven't already subscribed to the Weinnotes Podcast, make sure to search for it wherever you listen to podcasts and subscribe today. The latest episode will be released on Thursday morning. I always find that I enjoy a glass of Rose even more on the second day. There's a slight bitterness that gives it an extra kick. The 2019 Audeant Rose of Pinot Noir is absolutely fantastic on day two! Every sip, from the first taste to the lingering finish, is incredibly smooth. If you haven't had the chance to sit down and chat with Andrew, the winemaker behind Audeant (@audeantwines), I highly recommend doing it now! Also, let me know your thoughts on the new Foothills Pinot Noir. I've heard it's delicious, but I haven't had the pleasure of trying it yet. 👇 👇 👇 👇 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 Would you like to get a Saturday morning email once a month to read with your coffee giving you insider tips on events, news, and an in-depth perspective on a winery?
