Tasting Notes
Let's cut right to the chase, forget about the sun being out today because we have rain on the way.
Day 4, when was the last time a bottle of wine, much less a Sparkling wine, lasted for four days?!?!?!?! I will admit that opening a bottle of wine for enjoyment doesn't last four days at all. I am beyond curious to try and see into the future of Oregon Sparkling, and with what I see with Lytle-Barnett, there is a song from back in the day titled, "The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades" from Timbuk 3 in 1986 constantly playing in my head.
I am super impressed with the presence of those tiny bubbles coming to the surface after four long days! Yet, everything is still intact on the mid-palate as well. Remember, on Day 1, when I mentioned how smooth the Pinot Noir was? I am now noticing the intrinsic Pinot characteristics gleam through and through!!!! And yes, those are multiple exclamation points because I have compared other Sparklings that tasted great on Day 1 and by Day 3 were past their prime.
