Tasting Notes
If you remember from last night, I mentioned the 2022 Hundred Suns Gamay Noir, showcasing the classic characteristics of Gamay Noir. I decided to open this bottle because of Syncline's Gamay Noir. Syncline (@synclinewinery) has been receiving positive reviews, and I must say I have thoroughly enjoyed their wines so far.
The 2021 Syncline Estate Gamay Noir from the Columbia Gorge immediately captured my attention with its deep dark color in the glass. The entry is incredibly smooth, revealing darker fruit notes that surprised me compared to what I typically associate with Gamay. This prompted me to open the Hundred Suns to make a direct comparison. While I immensely enjoyed the Gamay from Hundred Suns, the Syncline bottle was equally delightful. I find it difficult to choose between the two as they offer different interpretations of Gamay, each suitable for different occasions. I would prefer Syncline for the winter months and Hundred Suns for warmer seasons.
Exploring these wines side by side was a delightful experience. Syncline is offering a 10% discount with the promo code AJ10. I encourage you to visit their website, savor their Gamay, and take advantage of the savings!
