Tasting Notes
am begrudgingly accepting the fact tomorrow is December 1. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy Christmas and focusing on bringing those close to you closer for quality time together. But, last night, when I had a Christmas tree in the back of the car, I couldn’t help but remember it wasn’t that long ago I was on my bike on the same road in the sun. So, in about 22 days, I will be counting down the days to Spring and the return of the sun!!
I will admit that setting up the tree tonight, the 2021 Prive Vineyard L’ouest from Ribbon Ridge hit the spot for the festivities. Immediately seeing the light color in the glass, I knew I was in for a treat! The light color translated into a dainty, vibrate, and full-of-life Pinot upon entry. The mid-palate is full of delicious red fruit and acidity, and the tannins nicely integrate to a point they aren’t even noticed. The finish, oh the finish, is a crazy long journey of lusciousness.
