Tasting Notes
It’s Halloween, and I am getting ready to walk around in the rain for a couple of hours. At least it’s not super cold, and there will be more candy than I know what to do with by the end of the night. So stay safe and enjoy the last day of October!
The 2021 Pray Tell Syrah from the Rocks District of Milton Freewater, Oregon, has your typical dark red color in the glass traversing into deep dark red fruit on the nose. What I enjoy about this Syrah is how approachable it is from entry to mid-palette. Yes, it has the typical heavy body of a Syrah, but it’s not grippy. The tannins are nicely integrated with dark red fruit and has a satisfying finish!
