Tasting Notes

Day 25 of Oregon Sparkling! The geekery behind wine is absolutely fascinating. Going down the rabbit hole of Sparkling feeds my inner geek on so many levels. There is so much to take in, and I can’t wait to dive further and further. Of these past 25 days, is there one bottle or fact that has stood out to you the most? 🥂 Fact Transfer Method: After the second fermentation in the bottle and a short period of sur lie aging (but before riddling), the wine is transferred—with sediment—to a pressurized tank, filtered under pressure and bottled. 🥂 Winery - Tendril Tony Rynders knows Oregon Wine Country like the back of his hand. He is one of the few veterans who isn’t afraid to dive into unknown territory. His traditional Oregon varietals are rock solid. Outside of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, I promise you will enjoy his Syrah and Cab as well. There is one varietal that is Tony’s Legacy, and that is the White Pinot Noir. Child’s Play is a sister label to Tendril Wine Cellars, and when you visit, seek out the stories behind the labels! 🥂 Wine Child’s Play Chardonnay Bubbles . . . . 🥂 Want to know more The 2021 Oregon Sparkling Report is 47 pages filled with information on 29 producers and 37 labels and my top ten list. Click the link in my bio for more details! 🍷
