Tasting Notes
Thanksgiving week is here, can you believe it? It feels like just yesterday that November started, and the past ten months have flown by. But no matter how much I try to slow down time, there’s only so much I can do. So, instead of trying to change the past, I’m going to embrace the present and make the most of this special week. And what better way to do that than by opening up some delicious bottles before Turkey Day?
Let’s kick things off with a 2021 Nysa Vineyard Pinot Noir from Audeant. You don’t see me open many bottles from Audeant, because they hold a special place in my heart. It’s been a couple of years since I opened a 2019 Nysa from Audeant, and it instantly brings me back to my very first winemaker Zoom get-together, aka, “A.J.’s Happy Hour.” Teal and Andrew were both on the call, and it was such a blast, even though I was nervous as a wreck. Over the years, I’ve gotten to know Teal and Andrew better, and I have to say, I enjoy the wine even more. When there’s exceptional wine paired with exceptional people, you can’t go wrong!
