Tasting Notes
I have been incredibly spoiled beyond all belief and have only had nicely-aged Beaux Freres. When I was at New Seasons earlier this week, I pulled the trigger and bought a 2021 for comparison's sake. I was not disappointed; wow, this bottle has held up very nicely over several days!
On Day 3 of this 2021 Beaux Freres Willamette Valley Pinot Noir from Beaux Freres, it is still showing stunningly well. I would have never guessed it had been opened for that long. In the glass, it is showing off some gorgeous bright red, prepping you for an enticing nose showing off bright red fruit. A silky smooth entry for a luscious mid-palate where the fruit settles down just a teeny bit where the tannin structure is integrated nicely with excellent acidity. For the finish, tannins are slightly detected but not overpowering at all. There is a reason these wines age so wonderfully over time, and this one could definately go the distance!
