Tasting Notes

Friendsgiving was so much fun yesterday! There is something spectacular about seeing a group of wineries become friends and help out one another. Once I got home, I decided to open a bottle from Antiquum. I buried these bottles so I don't touch them, but I couldn't help myself to something special. In the glass, the 2021 Antiquum Farm Black Sheep Pinot Noir has a wonderful deep dark red color. Gorgeous deep dark red fruit on the nose. If this were given to me as a blind wine, my first guess would have been a 2018 because it’s bold and has some prominent tannin structure. I'm glad to have more bottles of this and see what wine looks like in about ten years. On the mid-palate, there is a little spice. That finish gets you with tannins, but all those deep, dark fruits go the distance!!
