Tasting Notes
Day 10 of Oregon Sparkling!
Some days get out of hand, and social media takes a big backseat. Yesterday was jam-packed from 5 in the morning until nine last night. Today is a new day and time to get back at it!
Etfile is a family winery with a captivating story! I have yet to visit the winery, but so many people tell me I need to go. My conversations with Jessica have been splendid, and very much looking forward to a tasting very soon! They also recently released their 2020 STEM and Root W.V. Pinot Noir bringing awareness to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. A portion of the proceeds goes to a worthy cause!
🥂 Fact
Blending different grape varieties into one bottle of Sparkling brings out qualities in the wine we don’t usually get the chance to observe. For example, Pinot Noir brings in red fruit, strength, and body to a blend. Chardonnay contributes finesse with floral notes and mineralogy. I enjoy the Pinot and Chard blends a lot!
🥂 Winery
Jessica Mozeico is considered the most hospitable person in Oregon Wine Country. Etfile is all about family. Coming from a father and daughter team, it only makes sense when you visit the cozy Newberg tasting room you are swept away with a sense of home and coziness. Etfile is nothing short of spectacular, filled with family values and terrific wines!
