Tasting Notes

It’s Thursday already, and I have nothing more than an empty bottle to describe. In actually, this was consumed last night while eating fajitas at Industry. Well, it’s not Industry anymore, but it will always be Industry to me. I usually wouldn’t post an empty bottle, but my oh my, this was the best Cab I have ever had. On top of it all, it’s a 2018! The Doubleback Cab is 90% Cab, 5% Merlot, and 5% Malbec with 67% new French Oak. What I do not like about new Cabs are the grippy tannins removing every single bit of moisture from my mouth along with that giant, bold fruit bomb. In the glass, it was the nicest of dark reds. The nose was intoxicating, and the tannins were integrated so freaking smoothly I was stunned. Once the bottle was staring at me all empty, I seriously wanted to open one of the other two bottles left, but I was a good boy. Even if you don’t like Cabs, this is a Cab to put on your list to try. So far, this is my favorite wine of the year! . . . . . . 📰 Want to know more about Oregon Wine and Wineries sign up for my weekly newsletter. Link in the Bio! 🍷 #
