Tasting Notes

2012 is a great year for Pinot in Oregon, but the 2012 Rastaban from Brooks checks off so many boxes for me. The dark red color in the glass catches my attention; the nose brings me closer with subtle earth tones, mid-palate the spice grabs me like a dance partner doing the tango but gliding on air resembling the elegance of the smooth tannins. The spicy finish lasts for quite some time. I wonder how long this can go on. I bow to my dance partner and marvel in the experience. Looking into this glass of Rastaban, I am blown away, come back to reality, and savor yet another sip wondering what adventure is waiting for me. . . . . . . 📰 Want to know more about Oregon Wine and Wineries sign up for my weekly newsletter.
