Tasting Notes

One of the aspects I enjoy so much about Oregon Wine Country is the endless amount of inspiring stories. When Hazelfern was getting off the ground, Laura and Bryan worked day jobs while making wine at night. They would repeat this process over and over with next to no little sleep. Recently, the couple purchased a vineyard and have started the process all over again. They are remodeling a house on the vineyard property for guests to stay at while visiting Wine Country. The only exception to this loop is their day job is wine, and the after-hours hustle is a house remodel. Many chapters are yet to unfold with the Laing Family, and I am incredibly fortunate to savor the fruits of their labor tonight with a 2019 Silvershot Vineyard Pinot Noir. I am on day three of this fantastic wine, and every single day, chills have gone up and down my spine with every sip. Oregon has some incredible Pinots, and for me, this is knocking it out of the ballpark. There is an intensity of dark fruit on the nose, through the mid-palate, and a lingering finish leaving you to wonder what in the heck just happened. There are no tannins whatsoever, only absolute delight with every savory sip. 👇 👇 👇 👇 🍷 🗓 🍷 🗓 🍷 🗓 🍷 🗓 🍷 🗓 Trying to keep up with the events happening in Wine Country can be a full-time job.
