Tasting Notes
In case you weren’t aware, today is National Hazelfern (@hazelferncellars) day. The wife and husband team at Hazelfern share a birthday, and today is the day of celebration! So, what does one do on National Hazelfern Day? If Hazelfern had Sparkling, I would open a bottle of Bubbles to celebrate, but the next best thing is opening a bottle of Pinot!
I chose the 2019 La Chenaie Vineyard Pinot Noir, and so glad I did! With this being a 2019 and from Hazelfern brings about a winning one-two combo of medium red fruit on the nose and palate. The finish has slight ongoing hints of clove. So good, and Happy National Hazelfern Day!! Also, Happy Birthday, Laura and Bryan. Thank you for making killer wines!
