Tasting Notes
So, how was your Monday? I am sure there are complaints I could find, but instead, I choose to focus on the gluten and egg-free birthday chocolate chip cookies sitting on my counter. I didn’t think it was possible to substitute two main ingredients like that and have such a delicious cookie. Being perplexed is unquestionably fantastic!
I am also focusing on tonight’s wine, a 2019 Audeant Luminous Hills Pinot Noir.
In the glass, there is no doubt you are getting all of those dark red fruit qualities that makes my toes curl into the carpet, and everything on the nose backs up those assumptions. On the mid-palate and paired with a steak, I couldn't be happier. The tannin structure is firmly in place, incorporating the protein and fat of the steak, so the experience of pairing food with wine showcases a ravishing match. For a finish like this, there is only one wish running through my mind, "Why can't I be back in the sun letting my bald head soak up the sun instead of the miserable drizzle we are seeing today?"
