Tasting Notes
I enjoy many facets of summer, but one particular is hearing crickets chirp. In the South, it was watching the fireflies while listening to the bullfrogs. I also miss the summer lightning storms of the South.
Tonight, I sit on the back deck listening to the music of crickets and enjoying a 2018 Hyland Pinot Noir from 00 Wines. It’s been a long while since I popped the cork on a 00 Pinot. It hit the spot with a deep luscious red color tempting me in the glass. Bright cherry flavors on the nose translate to a full-bodied Pinot mid-palate commingling with the slightest of spice and a presence of tannins. It’s gratifying now but could easily go ten more years!
Cheers to a killer Monday!
