Tasting Notes
I opened this 2018 Estate (Elevee Vineyard) Pinot from Elevee last night, and after working in the yard for a majority of the day, all I can say is, “Oh my yumminess!” I always have this feeling I shouldn’t be opening a bottle from Elevee because I don’t have much (obviously I need to rectify), but always delighted when I do open a bottle!
Look at the color of the wine in the glass notice the darkness of the red. Without a little sniffy sniff or taste, I already know I am going to enjoy this glass. On entry, there are no surprises with a smooth elegance moving onto mid-palate. There is no rocking the boat here. A smooth solid transition of dark fruit in preparation for a finish lingering for a nice spell. Acidity levels are on par for nice aging, and I need some sort of shock tool every time I touch one of these bottles! Any ideas where I can purchase?
