Tasting Notes
I took the past week off from work, and I am soaking up every minute of summer I can. The consistent pings of death from MS Teams are not missed one bit. Tomorrow I dive back into the real world, but I will not go lightly. I am spending today like it’s the first day of vacation. I might pay for it tomorrow, but hey, we live only once, right?
Last night I opened this 2018 Cuvee Du Patron Pinot from Domaine Divio. I don’t recall having it before, and with my newly reorganized cellar, I was delighted to pull the cork. Every single time I open a bottle from Divio, I can’t get out of my head how sweet and kind Bruno is. Every single event he visits with everyone multiple times throughout the night. How often does a winemaker take the time to chat with customers for at least 2-10 minutes, depending on the conversation? You don’t see this often, and I can’t be the only person who recognizes this hospitality level.
