2017 Hundred Suns Bednarik Pinot Noir Review

The leaves on my wisteria are fading from a vibrant green to a soft yellow. The littering of leaves in my backyard is starting to take shape. What is all of this? I am not ready for the F word whatsoever. Summer is still here, and I refuse to think my mornings on the back deck are coming to a close, even though I adorned a hoodie this morning to stay warm. Coping with the changes of the season and the F word, tonight was all about reaching for a bottle I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt would bring warmth and light to my day. I purchased the 2017 Hundred Suns Bednarik Pinot Noir at an online auction during Covid. Tonight, for some reason, it felt appropriate to pop the cork. Over the years, I have barely gotten to know Renee and Grant, but I do know they are out-of-this-world, down-to-earth human beings. Grant took a solid hour to talk with me about the Bednarik vineyard. One day, I will get out to experience this fantastic place. For the wine, what does one say about a fantastic wine made by amazing people who work their ever-loving patootskis off to bring a wine you know you can count on to blow your socks off?
