Tasting Notes

It’s Friday night, and I am enduring being outside with the crisp chill in the air. My time on the back deck this year is starting to come to a close. Yet, there is something about being outside, cranking away on the computer with Daft Punk playing and my neighbor trying to talk to me over the fence. It’s serene and calm. Of course, it wouldn't be as remarkable if I had this all year round. Still, I pine for the possibility. With it being Friday night, I decided to pop the cork on something a little special. The 2015 Revana Vineyard Pinot Noir from Alexana is showing quite nicely! The slightest funk of older an Pinot intermingled on the nose with medium red fruits. The first sip brings an elegance of silk drifting into the mid-palate furnishing the promised fruits. The finish tells you everything you need to know about this wine with an elegant tannin and acidity structure to stand the test of time, lingering on the back of your palate lingering way longer than anticipated.
