Tasting Notes

What a week it was! It felt like a nonstop train going across the midwest, where you know you are moving, but the landscape doesn’t change. I think many items were accomplished over the last few days, but there is so much more to do. Tonight, Sparkling was needed, along with some couch time and catching on Shrinking on Apple TV. I am enjoying how heartfelt the show is, and Harrison Ford does a great job! Are you watching it? What do you think? Tonight’s wine is the 2015 Lytle Barnett Vintage Willamette Valley Brut Sparkling. At first glance, you can’t help but tiny the concentration of tiny bubbles in the center of the glass, but it doesn’t take much for the brioche aroma to take center stage, engulfing all of your senses. On the palate, you get an excellent weight distribution of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay perfectly balanced, ensuring one doesn’t overpower the other. Those tiny bubbles dance along the palate for a joyous celebration of fruit and acidity, leaving a finish where the crowd wants nothing more than an encore upon encore upon encore. What a way to finish up the week! Stay tuned for what this wine is doing on day two because you know I am all about how Oregon Sparkling will age over time! 👇 👇 👇 👇 🥂 🥂 🥂 🥂 🥂 🥂 🥂 🥂 🥂 🥂 🥂 Massive shoutout to Lytle-Barnett for sponsoring the podcast this week!
