Tasting Notes

I don’t remember the last time I made spaghetti, and I have been craving it big time! Pasta. Carbs. Sigh. For the first time ever, I bought gluten-free noodles. I guess it was ok, I mean the noodles. I added extra mushrooms and spicy sausage to the bolognese sauce, and that was amazing! On the topic of fantastic, it is rare for me to taste two different wines for dinner. I had one glass left of Luminous Hills from Audeant. The spices from the sausage and sausage accentuated the Luminous Hills. I also have to say the way finish on this one is crazy unique for me. Typically, a finish is a lingering feeling, but not here. I get the initial lingering, but it feels like a flower opening up for a crazy long finish. The 2015 Hazelfern Tempranillo also was a great accompaniment to dinner. This year, I tried this wine and was blown away with the dark cherry notes on the nose and palate. I adore the fact Bryan adheres to the Spain Reserva standard of three years in barrel. | | | | | | 📰 Want to know more about Oregon Wine and Wineries sign up for my weekly newsletter.
