Corollary Plants 57 Acres for Sparkling
A short one before IPNC: a Lundeen Wines launch party to attend, and Corollary's new vineyard planned entirely for sparkling wine.

I started today by telling myself, "It's ok if you skip the newsletter this week." After my bike ride, I was determined to make it happen. I started. Then there were work meetings, then somebody broke the build (coding stuff) and had to figure out what was going on with code freeze coming up in a couple of days. I was still determined to progress, but I didn't want to rush my story about Bledsoe McDaniels. They are doing great work, and rushing isn't giving them the proper attention.
Putting off this week's story means it will be two weeks before I circle back, with next week being a podcast week. Thank you for your patience and for taking the time to read the newsletter every Saturday morning. It's Wednesday night, and I am prepping for an interview tomorrow. Hopefully, flights aren't delayed for the interviewee. I am also getting ready for IPNC this weekend.
With all that being said, I have one killer event you need to check out and one major announcement this week!
The event is from Lundeen Wines. They are throwing a launch party on August 20th and 21st. Before you dismiss the idea of yet another launch party, hear me out. Micheal Lundeen is making some spectacular Sparkling, and very few people know of his magical prowess. I was unaware until Beth from Dion and Dan from Corollary told me. Micheal also has a heart of gold. He also has Pinot and Chardonnay, which I haven't tried yet. I will make sure to rectify the situation when I visit! So get your tickets, and I will see you there!
Speaking of Corollary, they made the announcement this week of 57 acres to be used 100% for Sparkling Wines. They are planting pinot noir, chardonnay, pinot Meunier, pinot blanc, and pinot gris next spring. You can read more details here, and I am going to start a rumor that in 2038 they are releasing their Sparkling comprised of multiple vintages and is at least 50% reserve wine. The timer starts now!

That's it for this week. If you think about it, forward this email to a friend and tell them how disappointed you were by the short email this week.
With Gratitude,
